Great Beginning Seed Bead Set Lots To Work With
I am a big advocate of starting crafts as soon as possible with creative kids. This set is a really good choice for someone who wants to play around with beading. Seed beads are usually tiny. This set is on the larger side, making it great to learn to use the beads without having them be quite so tiny.WHAT SIZE ARE THE SEED BEADS?This says 3mm but if you translate that to seed bead sizes, that translates to a size 8. I usually use 10 and sometimes 11 when doing earrings or other beadwork. The smaller beads allow for more intricate designs in a smaller format.WHAT ARE THESE BEADS GOOD FOR?Size 8 seed beads will still allow for some nice creative jewelry, but it will be on the larger side so intricate designs will end up in a larger footprint. That works great for rings, jewelry that is more robust like bracelets, etc.They will also work well as spacer beads between larger beads.COLORSThe colors of these beads are beautiful. They are bright, intense, and the clear ones are still nice glassy colors but less intense than the opaque ones.QUALITYThe quality of these beads is good but not top notch, which is fine for hobby crafts and learning. There is some irregularity and uneven shapes, but overall they are still worth getting.CASEThe case is flat, shuts tight, and is easy to use. It is also not hard to store either.TOOLSThese are basic tools that come with this allowing for some great learning and experimentation.WHAT I GOT THIS FORI got this for some of the beads to put in my collection as spacer beads but also to pass on to one of my kids who works with younger kids for a learning craft to do. She likes to teach others crafts and this kit makes a great intro place to start.THE BOTTOM LINEWhether you are a beginner, have a young person who wants to learn beading, or even experienced in beading needing some random beads for filling in, this is a nice kit with a great case.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. Nicely organized beginner set
The beads in this set are 3mm/size 8 seed beads. They come in a nice, flat, organized storage container and the colors stay separated. It is a great set for kids and beginners, but I will say that the slight irregularities in shape and size would not be good for bead looms and some other projects where each row must be consistent, but the quality of the beads looks nice. This set is best for making string bracelets and necklaces. It comes with enough letters to spell a few names but you’d want to buy a set of letters if you want to use letters a lot.

Great kit for any jewelry maker. Beads are well shaped no deformed ones. All have holes. perfect gift. Colors are bright. I just wish they would send the color code list with them so I could purchase more of one color if needed. I would repurchase it.

Colors bleed
My daughter just received it today and started mailing bracelets right away. Beautiful collection but the colors bleed and the string provided broke when she was tying the bracelet. I would not recommend this kit.

I love how entertaining this beading kit was for the whole family. We sat around crafting our own bracelets and necklaces for hours. I found it best to use the beading needle provided as it allows you to string each bead without struggle.
