A bit “light”…
Lovely beads! I love miyuki and use this bronze color (457L) A LOT! I’ve never ordered from this vendor before, however. When the beads arrived, I was desperate to get back to work on a project, as I had run out of beads to finish it. These beads were ordered to complete said project. I opened them and began using them, all the while feeling like the first tube was a little “light” in volume. The tube was only about â full. But I had a time-line, and just kept working. I needed to use the 2nd tube, as well. When I opened it, it was also only semi-filled. Ok…”Enough!”, I thought, and to satisfy my curiosity, I weighed them. This 8.5gram tube had only 6grams of beads!! (See photos). Talk about a scant tube…!! I’m guessing the 1st tube was short, as well. And don’t tell me that they include the weight of the tube itself, or that beads are tubed by volume and not weight! Volume or not…the beads still only weighed 6grams, and I ordered 8.5grams x 2! I’ve worked around beads for quite a while, and have watched people weigh beads and fill tubes/baggies/flip-tops, etc.I’m disappointed, and, yet again, won’t have enough to finish this large project. I would have enough if both tubes truly were 8.5 grams (2 x 8.5grams each would be 17grams).I’m very frustrated & disappointed!
